With a focus on employment and intellectual property litigation, Alex has experience handling trade secret misappropriation, non-compete and theft of company property, OSHA violations, non-solicitation and non-disclosure disputes, employment discrimination, and wage and hour disputes. During law school, Alex focused her career on labor and employment law, a practice area she found great interest and enjoyment in. During her summers, she clerked for the Texas Workforce Commission, where she gained an appreciation and understanding of the legal interworking of the agency. During her third year of law school, she served as a legal extern to the Regional Director of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Region 15. While at the NLRB, she gained invaluable experience assisting in conducting unfair labor practice investigations, arranging representation elections, and performing legal research to assist with agenda committee meetings.
Recognizing the ever-changing landscape of internet, privacy and intellectual property law, Alex also focuses her practice on internet and IP law. Her experience includes a variety of commercial and technology transactions, including terms and conditions and services agreements. She has experience advising clients on data privacy law compliance, including compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Additionally, she advises clients on data privacy issues, including cross-border data transfers. She has provided counseling regarding trade secret, copyright, trademark, and trade dress issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked at a litigation firm in Houston where she gained a substantive understanding of the law and how to work a case from inception to completion. Alex holds a J.D. from Tulane University Law School, where she served as a Managing Editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Prior to law school, Alex attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her BA in English with a minor in business

Recognizing the importance of investing in her community, Alex serves as a board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston’s Young Professionals Organization. Alex also enjoys traveling, running, and exploring new restaurants in Houston.
