Karen Cox, a director of the Firm, practices in the Business Section with a concentration in real estate law, including development, leasing and lending law matters. She was formerly counsel to a Dallas-based owner, operator and manager of nationwide retail and business properties. Her practice concentrates on development, leasing, operation and disposition of retail real estate projects, including regional shopping malls and large tenant power centers. Karen’s experience includes the negotiation of simultaneous multiple leasing transactions with national tenants, in connection with commercial and retail development financing transactions and complex multi-party operating, development and easement agreements. Prior to entering private practice, she served as Briefing Attorney to the Honorable George T. Ellis, Justice of the Court of Appeals, 14th Supreme Judicial District, in Houston, Texas.
