Focusing his national practice on insolvency and creditor’s rights, Kyle Woodard counsels clients in all facets of bankruptcy law and related litigation, including secured and unsecured creditors, bankruptcy trustees, corporate debtors, and creditors’ committees. He also represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court.
Kyle thrives on the challenge of litigation and finds gratification in formulating the best possible arguments and legal positions to overcome his client’s problems and advance their business objectives. He is dedicated to the interests of those he advocates for, and he is available to discuss their concerns at any time.
Always keeping abreast of the complex and evolving nature of bankruptcy law, Kyle routinely reviews significant bankruptcy rulings that may change or influence his clients’ matters. He goes to great lengths to be thoroughly prepared for any litigation activity, while striving to anticipate the other side’s strategy and develop a pragmatic course of action. Kyle prefers and has found that it is often beneficial to enter litigation with an amiable, collegial approach, but he is equally comfortable taking a more aggressive style where the situation warrants.
Prior to law school, Kyle obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance with a minor in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and he draws on this educational background to help his clients navigate their bankruptcy-related issues.
Away from the Office
Kyle enjoys taking weekend trips and going snow skiing with his wife, and he tries to play golf whenever he can.
