Forrest’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including trial and appellate work, with a particular emphasis in energy and oil and gas.
He has considerable experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in fiduciary and investment matters, commercial torts, business and contractual claims, and property disputes, including the related proceedings for emergency and temporary injunctive relief. He also frequently advises individuals and companies in structuring, negotiating, and documenting oil and gas transactions with purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, assignments and leases, participation agreements, farmouts, and other agreements used in the exploration and development of oil and gas.
Prior to joining the bar, he worked in public accounting and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Marcia A. Crone (U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas) and the Honorable Xavier Rodriguez (U. S. District Court, Western District of Texas).
