Kane Russell Coleman Logan Continues Strategic Expansion With 12 Attorney Additions

Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC (KRCL) continues its strategic expansion with the addition of four directors, one senior attorney and seven associates across its Dallas, Houston, and Austin offices, strengthening the firm’s capabilities across key practice areas, including transactional, intellectual property, bankruptcy, corporate, litigation, and labor and employment.

Kari Lutringer returns to KRCL as a director in the Houston office. She focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, capital transactions, and financing arrangements. Lutringer advises clients in industries such as real estate, energy, oilfield services, agriculture, and financial services. She also counsels businesses on corporate governance, commercial agreements, joint ventures, entity structuring, and strategic planning. Lutringer earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and both her master's and bachelor's degrees from Texas A&M University.

Jon Hyland joins the Dallas office as a director, focusing on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. He has extensive experience as lead counsel in federal courts. Hyland also advises clients on intellectual property licensing, due diligence, data privacy, cybersecurity, blockchain technologies, and regulatory issues affecting various industries. Hyland earned his J.D., cum laude, from The University of Texas School of Law. He also holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Chicago and earned his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Texas A&M University.

A director in the Austin office, Trevor Coddington, Ph.D., brings decades of experience in intellectual property law, with his practice focusing on patent litigation and patent procurement. He has represented clients in patient infringement and validity disputes in federal courts across the country, including before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and has secured hundreds of patents in the United States and internationally. Before entering private practice, Dr. Coddington served as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office while completing his Ph.D. in physics, evaluating applications involving applied cryptography and emerging technologies in e-commerce, telecommunications, and cybersecurity. Dr. Coddington earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, his Ph.D. in Physics from Old Dominion University, and his bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from The Ohio State University.

Jameson Watts also joins the Austin office as a director. His bankruptcy practice covers all aspects of insolvency, with particular experience representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 reorganizations. He represents financial institutions, debtors, creditors, receivers, and trustees in state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts, receiverships, and arbitration panels, including the American Arbitration Association and the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS). In addition, Watts represents clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, with significant experience handling construction disputes involving owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. He manages matters from the earliest pre-suit stages through appeal and is Board Certified in Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Watts earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

Joining as a senior attorney in the Houston office, Lee Winkelman is a labor and employment attorney who brings more than 20 years of experience advising employers on a wide range of workplace and business matters to the firm. He works closely with clients to develop practical, strategic solutions aligned with their operational objectives, including drafting employment agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies, as well as counseling employers through regulatory investigations, employee disputes, and other complex workplace issues. Winkelman also brings substantial business and commercial litigation experience and has served as de facto in-house employment counsel for multiple companies, providing day-to-day guidance on employment matters and helping clients navigate evolving legal and business considerations. Prior to joining KRCL, Winkelman served as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office. He earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

• Jade Jackson joins the Dallas office as a member of the firm's Emergency Response practice, where she focuses on high-exposure bodily injury and complex commercial disputes. She earned her J.D. from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma.       
• Connall McCormack joins the Dallas office as a member of the firm's Real Estate practice. He earned his J.D. from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Texas A&M University.       
• Emily Meraia joins the Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Creditors' Rights Practice Group in the Houston office. She earned her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and her bachelor's degree from Fordham University.               
• Nicholas "Nick" Perez joins the Houston office as a member of the firm's Emergency Response team. His background spans property tax, employment law, and compliance matters, as well as serving as general counsel for the Galveston Central Appraisal District. Perez earned an LL.M. from the University of Houston Law Center, a J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston.          
• Ashley Tycher joins the Dallas office, focusing on injury litigation. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law and holds a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University, with dual certifications in Mediation and Dispute Resolution and Family Law and Mediation. She received her bachelor's degree from Millsaps College.               
• Shaylen Braggs joins the Business & Corporate practice, where she focuses on private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Her experience includes drafting transaction documents, leading due diligence reviews, and coordinating complex transaction closings. Prior to joining KRCL, she practiced in the Private Equity M&A group of an Am Law 100 law firm. Braggs earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and her bachelor's degree from Howard University.             
• Alexia Nicoloulias joins the Emergency Response section in the Dallas office. She represents a broad range of clients facing litigation in state and federal courts. Nicoloulias earned her J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.

These latest additions build on the firm's continued growth in 2026. In April, the firm announced it added six attorneys across its three offices, including two directors.
