Kane Russell Coleman Logan Continues to Grow with the Addition of New Attorneys Lisa Hur Formanek and Johnathan Jordan

Kane Russell Coleman Logan has further bolstered the firm’s Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups with the addition of two attorneys. Lisa Hur Formanek is a highly experienced real estate lawyer who represents clients in complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions. Johnathan Jordan has joined the firm as an associate to handle a wide range of commercial litigation cases.

“Without a doubt, Lisa and Johnathan will be fantastic additions to the KRCL team. Lisa has proven herself to be a top-tier attorney in Real Estate and the competition for legal talent of her caliber is fierce in this market. We are thrilled that she chose to bring her practice to KRCL,” said Joe Coleman, Managing Director of the Dallas office. “Johnathan is an up and coming young lawyer and his clerkships for two local judges speak volumes about his future career. He’s going to be a great litigator and we’re very glad to have him on the KRCL team.”

Lisa Hur Formanek has more than 15 years’ experience helping investors, developers, REITs, national retailers and international companies find creative solutions to real estate transactions and financing. She represents clients in single and multi-property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, commercial retail and office leasing; development, financing, and corporate organizational matters.

Lisa previously acted as associate general counsel at a publicly traded real estate development company, where she negotiated real estate transactions totaling over $2 billion, including the acquisition and disposition of commercial office buildings, shopping centers, hotels and unimproved property.

Johnathan Jordan protects clients’ interests in cases involving breach of contract, fraud, and violations of the DTPA. He also represents clients in medical malpractice, personal injury and complex insurance coverage. Prior to joining KRCL, he interned with the Honorable Ken Tapscott, County Court at Law No. 4 in Dallas, Texas, and with the Honorable Benjamin Smith, 380th District Court in McKinney, Texas. Johnathan earned a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.

“In the recent wake of megafirm mergers sweeping through Texas, I’m gratified to see experienced attorneys still see the value of working for mid-sized competitors. A regional firm like KRCL gives lateral attorneys more entrepreneurial freedom to grow their own practices within the supportive structure of a full-service firm environment. Our attorneys can offer their clients the same range of services as a big firm without the unwieldy overhead and untenable hourly rates that are part and parcel of the AmLaw 200,” said Mike Logan, a founding director of the firm.
