Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC Grows Litigation Team

Dallas-based law firm Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC has expanded its Litigation Group with the addition of two recent law school graduates, Jaime DeWees and Amelia Coates.

Jaime DeWees focuses her practice on general commercial and real estate litigation, and employment litigation defense. She obtained her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2015. During her studies, Jaime served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Martin J. Hoffman in the 68th Judicial District Court of Dallas County and as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Renee Harris Toliver in the Northern District of Texas. She also worked as a pro bono legal aide at the Dallas County Probate Court Investigator’s Office, where she assisted attorney investigators in evaluating guardianship applications and filing motions to transfer guardianship.

Also joining the Litigation section is Amelia Coates, who earned her juris doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2015. While enrolled in law school, Amelia participated in legal internships in both Washington, D.C. and Oklahoma City. These internships included working with the United States House Committee on Agriculture, the Honorable Judge Stephen P. Friot in the Western District of Oklahoma, and the Office of the Legal Advisor in International Claims and Investment Disputes for the United States State Department.

“We are pleased to welcome Jaime and Amelia to the team. After observing their work ethic and acuity during their time with us as summer clerks, we are confident in their abilities to help us serve our valued clients,” says Mike Logan, a Head of Litigation. He adds, “We continue to look for individuals who can help us achieve our objective to deliver high quality legal work at reasonable rates to our diverse client base. Our recent growth in both Dallas and Houston is the direct result of that effort."
