Derrick Anderson is a commercial litigator with a focus on business disputes and bankruptcy matters.

He represents clients across a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, including insurance recovery and corporate governance matters. His experience also includes handling securities-related discovery and settlement issues, construction and agribusiness disputes, and responding to subpoenas in healthcare and other regulated industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Derrick practiced at a national law firm, where he gained experience advising clients on a range of complex litigation matters. Before entering private practice, Derrick served as a captain in the U.S. Army, working as a logistics officer overseeing multi-unit operations in complex deployment environments.

Away from the Office

Outside the office, Derrick is a regular at the gym and brings that same energy to a range of creative pursuits: baking, painting, and singing. He also jumps at any opportunity to travel and explore somewhere new.

  • Represented a real estate developer in connection with a tower-project insurance coverage dispute, helping establish a defensible discovery framework, protect confidential business information, and streamline document exchanges to keep the project on schedule.
