Chambers USA Expands Rankings for Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC

Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business has expanded its recognition of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC in its 2010 rankings.  In addition to its Commercial Litigation practice, Chambers has added KRCL's Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice.  Chambers has also recognized additional KRCL attorneys as leaders in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real estate and employment.

Adding the Firm's Bankruptcy and Restructuring group to the rankings, Chambers' research determined that:

The Firm is recommended by peers for its high-quality work in midmarket matters.  The team covers all aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy, and its client base includes creditors' committees, debtors and a range of secured and unsecured creditors.  Sources say it is "a strong regional group that is active in the area."  Joseph M. Coleman, founding director of the firm, heads up this group.  He is regarded as "an outstanding lawyer who stacks up well in terms of the quality of his work and his level of activity."

Expanding the ranking for the Firm's Commercial Litigation practice, Chambers writes that this

. . . group has a strong focus on financial services litigation.  It has recently been representing Trustmark in connection with a number of banking disputes relating to the Stanford fraud cases, and in negotiations with the SEC receiver Ralph Janvey.  The team has also been acting for Regions Bank in a putative class action concerning account overdraft practices.  Sources say, "The group is fast, effective and straightforward, and the client's agenda is its agenda."  Kenneth Johnston, a director of the firm, plays a pivotal role in its litigation offering.  He is admired as "timely and upfront" and as one of the group's leaders, "has found an excellent balance between managing his team and letting them run the case as needed."   New entry this year, fellow director Kenneth Biermacher is "an extraordinary resource to have on your side when you have to go to war."

Chambers also recognized Raymond J. Kane (Real Estate) a "top-quality real estate lawyer."
