Dallas City Council Appoints Sean Tate to the Landmark Commission

Sean Tate, an attorney at Kane Russell Coleman & Logan, has been appointed to the Landmark Commission for the City of Dallas.  Composed of fifteen City Council-appointed members, the Landmark Commission is responsible for the review and approval of all modification and redevelopment projects in Dallas historic districts and individually designated structures.  As the Landmark Commission’s newest member, Sean will help make decisions regarding Certificate of Appropriateness applications within all City of Dallas historic districts.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to be appointed to the Dallas Landmark Commission,” said Sean. “I look forward to making use of my background in real estate law to help the Landmark Commission continue to honor the unique cultural landmarks that exist in each Dallas neighborhood.”

As an associate in the Real Estate Section, Sean represents clients in real estate transactions, including the acquisition, financing, leasing and disposition of office, retail, multifamily, hotel, medical and industrial real estate projects.  Sean was also recently appointed to the board of the Real Estate Council Political Action Committee, an organization focused on local and state public policy issues that impact businesses and the economic vitality of specific regions.

“Sean will be a great asset to both the Landmark Commission and the Real Estate PAC,” says David Pratt, a Director at Kane Russell Coleman & Logan and former Chairman of the Dallas Bar Association Real Property Law Section, “We are proud of Sean for contributing his exceptional talent and passion to the City of Dallas and for protecting the city’s character and historic structures.”
