Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC Ranked for the Sixth Consecutive Year in Chambers USA Guide

Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC (KRCL) is proud to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, Chambers has selected the firm for recognition in America’s Leading Lawyers for Business Guide. Chambers recognized two of KRCL’s practice groups: Bankruptcy and Restructuring and General Commercial Litigation. Chambers also identified five KRCL attorneys for individual acknowledgment.

Chambers selected George Barber, Joseph Coleman, and Joseph Friedman for inclusion in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring section for their in-depth knowledge of the practice area. Chambers noted that KRCL’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring group has a reputation for advising unsecured creditor committees. The group also has substantial experience representing a full range of clients in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.

Joseph Coleman, one of KRCL’s founders and the Chair of the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights group received high praise for his work. One source comments, "He's incredibly high-energy, suitably aggressive, and will take on any challenge put in front of him." Another adds, "In periods of high stress and anxiety he has guided me past the devastating obstacles placed in our way."

Joseph Friedman focuses on representing creditors, court-appointed committees, and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. His work earned positive reviews from the interviewees, with one stating, “He’s very good at working with the court and managing their expectations, keeping us in their good graces.” Another source notes, "He has a calming influence and he's very good in court."

George Barber also has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, lessors, court-appointed trustees, and committees in bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations, pre and post-bankruptcy workouts, and foreclosure matters. According to the Chambers guide, George’s banking background makes him particularly skilled in complex bankruptcy matters.

Chambers ranked Kenneth Johnston in the General Commercial Litigation section of the guide. Kenneth frequently represents financial institutions in regulatory investigations, qui tam cases and consumer class actions. One of his clients described him as, “very confident, personable, connected and cost-effective. The complete package.”

Chambers recognized Raymond Kane, a founding director of KRCL, for his expertise in Real Estate Law. According to interviewees, Ray is a favorite among clients, who describe him as “exceptional” and “one of the most talented business lawyers.”
