Kane Russell Coleman Logan Ranked in Chambers USA 2018

Kane Russell Coleman Logan has continued to receive recognition in Chambers USA, a prestigious annual publication that ranks top law firms and lawyers throughout the United States. The 2018 edition has ranked three practice groups and four individual attorneys from the firm.

Published by London-based Chambers & Partners, the guide is the result of rigorous research, including interviews with clients and other attorneys. Chambers evaluates the technical legal ability of attorneys and law firms, as well as their legal knowledge, experience, effectiveness, and client service.

This year, Kane Russell Coleman Logan received a Band 4 ranking for its Bankruptcy/Restructuring practice group.  The firm’s Bankruptcy team is well known for representing parties in complicated corporate bankruptcy cases across the nation.  Chambers states that the firm has a “strong creditors' committee practice active across the USA” which is “notable for its work for debtors, trustees and asset purchasers.” The guide notes the group’s “strength in pre-bankruptcy and out-of-court workouts,” particularly in the healthcare, energy, real estate and retail sectors, and highlights the "excellent communication" and "excellent strategy" the team exhibits. Two of the firm’s practice groups have been named Recognized Practitioners.  The Real Estate practice group has earned recognition in the state rankings for its representation of owners, developers, investors and lenders in sophisticated and innovative real estate transactions.  The firm received nationwide recognition for its Retail practice group for the first year.

In addition to the recognition the firm earned on the practice area level, Joseph Coleman, John Inabnett, Raymond Kane, and James Prappas have been individually ranked by Chambers USA.

Joseph Coleman is ranked as a Band 2 lawyer in Bankruptcy/Restructuring.   The guide notes that Joe is "an outstanding bankruptcy lawyer" who "advances his client's interests very well" and is "pragmatic and sensitive to business needs and goals." He currently serves as the managing director of the firm and chairs the Insolvency, Bankruptcy & Creditor Rights Section.

John Inabnett has been named a Recognized Practitioner in Real Estate for the first time.  John, a director of the firm, represents real estate developers, landlords and tenants in leasing transactions, and borrowers and lenders in lending transactions.  He has significant experience in retail and office development, leasing, and financing transactions.

Raymond Kane is ranked as a Band 2 lawyer in Real Estate.  A founding director of the firm, Raymond represents landlords and tenants in retail, office and industrial development and leasing transactions.  This is the ninth consecutive year that he has earned a ranking in Chambers USA.

James Prappas is ranked as a Band 2 lawyer in Immigration.  James is a board-certified immigration specialist with more than 30 years’ experience representing businesses, families and individuals in employment-based immigration, family-based immigration and naturalization matters.

“We are honored to have Chambers recognize our extensive experience and focus on client service,” said Joe Coleman.  “The high degree of praise that our attorneys and firm have received from our clients and peers is humbling.  We look forward to continuing to provide the best representation possible to clients.”
