KRCL Director David Pratt Elected to Chair Dallas Bar Association's Real Property Section

Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC congratulates Director David L. Pratt on being elected by his peers to Chair the Real Property Section of the Dallas Bar Association in 2014.  The Dallas Bar Association, founded in 1873, is a voluntary professional association of more than 10,000 attorneys. The goal of its Real Property Law Section is to work with the Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and other organizations in furtherance of common projects related to the legal profession, with particular emphasis on real estate law.  The Section also provides professional development for the legal community and a communications and information forum for real estate industry legal professionals.

"The DBA's Real Estate Section is not only a great resource for attorneys, but also for anyone who acquires, manages or develops property who might need some legal guidance," said David.  "As chairman, I hope to uphold the Section's reputation and work closely with other organizations to provide educational opportunities for real estate professionals."

David L. Pratt is a commercial real estate attorney with Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC, a mid- size business law firm with offices in Dallas and Houston.  David represents clients in large complex real estate transactions, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development, and mergers and acquisitions. He has significant experience in the development of large mixed use projects, purchases and sales of income producing properties (such as regional shopping malls, hotels, warehouses, apartments and office buildings), commercial lending, commercial leasing, and distressed asset transactions.

KRCL Director Raymond J. Kane, head of the firm's Real Estate Section, said, "David is a highly knowledgeable attorney who is a great asset to the firm.  There's no doubt that he will lead the DBA's Real Estate Section with the same integrity he brings to KRCL."
