LITIGATION ALERT: SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE LAW

There is a common misconception that when casually surfing the web you have some modicum of anonymity. No one really knows what web sites you visit, what texts you post, what videos you watch, what emails you send and receive, and what messages you post to forums, right?  The truth is you have very little privacy and virtually no anonymity when using social media.  One only need look at the present problems facing Congressman Weiner who probably never anticipated the media attention he would receive from his “private” online messages and pictures.
