Christina Hightower represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, handling matters involving breach of contract, fraudulent transfer, design and construction defect, breach of warranty, DTPA claims, breach of fiduciary duty, and bankruptcy litigation.

She has significant experience guiding cases from investigation through trial and appeal — including managing discovery, developing evidence and strategy, working closely with expert witnesses, and arguing before Texas federal and state courts and the Houston Court of Appeals.

Christina’s work spans industries such as energy, construction, commercial real estate, shareholder disputes, and space exploration. She has represented clients in high-stakes disputes, including securing a favorable award of more than $200 million in a multi-phase arbitration and leading discovery and pre-trial strategy in a complex antitrust litigation involving pipelines. Her experience also includes defending clients against claims brought by the Texas Attorney General, negotiating construction contracts, and representing clients in multi-million-dollar EPC disputes.

In addition to her litigation practice, Christina served as commercial counsel for a publicly traded development company engaged in a multibillion-dollar liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipeline and terminal project. During that time, she worked directly with the General Counsel and gained extensive experience in the areas of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and company advisement. She advised on and negotiated land contracts, joint development agreements, and long-term service contracts. This in-house experience gives Christina a unique perspective on client priorities and the business implications of legal decisions, reassuring her clients that she understands their needs and can approach matters with a practical, business-minded lens.

Away from the Office

Christina spends time with her husband and two young children. She also devotes time to pro bono work, including representing asylum seekers and clients protecting their freedom of expression in public schools.
