Zach Thomas is an associate who focuses his practice on business transactions and advising clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, including commercial lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and diverse companies across Texas and nationwide. He assists in guiding clients seamlessly through every stage of the mergers and acquisitions process.

Prior to joining the firm, Zach served as a summer clerk at KRCL, where he rotated across multiple practice groups. This experience provided him with a broad exposure to the firm’s diverse capabilities and a strong foundation in both litigation support and transactional work.

During his clerkship, Zach participated in depositions, hearings, mediations, and assembled discovery packages. He also gained meaningful hands-on transactional experience by drafting and editing key corporate and real estate documents, including security agreements, stock purchase agreements, LLC agreements, omnibus written consents, lease amendments, and more. Mostly, Zach concentrated his efforts within the Corporate Group, where he played an active role in supporting mergers and acquisitions. Through this hands-on involvement, he developed a deeper understanding of corporate structuring, contractual arrangements, risk assessment, and deal strategy.

At the University of Mississippi, he was involved in the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Student Bar Association, and he actively contributed to the Transactional Law Clinic, where he aided small startups and nonprofits in achieving their business ambitions. He uses this blend of business savvy and financial expertise to deliver efficient, results-driven legal services that help clients optimize their bottom line.
