Nearly six years of rule and the Texas Residential Construction Commission Act ("TRCCA") has met its fate.  Since 2003, the Texas Residential Construction Commission ("Commission") has attempted to govern the residential construction industry by assisting consumers with complaints concerning residential builders and remodelers.  The Commission's most notorious act of governance was enforcement of TRCCA's State Sponsored Inspection and Dispute Resolution Process ("SIRP"); a process that must typically begin prior to initiating a lawsuit or arbitration concerning residential construction defects.
